Rev. Brian Falkenholt
Pastor - English Ministries

Rev. Brian Falkenholt was born … wait for it … in Richmond, B.C. in 1969. He attended Walter Lee Elementary, R.C. Palmer Junior High and graduated from Matthew McNair Senior Secondary in 1987. From there he gained his B.A. Degree from Augustana University College in Camrose Alberta. Pastor Brian attended Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Edmonton from 1995 – 1999. Before attending seminary, Pastor Brian was program director at Camp Luther, travelled with a music group called, “The Crew” and held a variety of other jobs and positions for those five years.

He has had the privilege of serving the people of Christ Lutheran in Red Lake, Ontario; First Lutheran in Kingsville, Ontario; Christ Lutheran in Thunder Bay, Ontario; and now back to where it all began – in Richmond, B.C., serving the people of Trinity Lutheran Church. Over his quarter century of pastoral ministry, Pastor Brian has been very involved in each community, finding ways to use his skills and experience in leadership, sports, music and Lutheran camps. He has also served in a variety of ways within his circuit, his district and on national boards and committees.

Pastor Brian is especially passionate about two areas in his ministry – Jesus and God’s Word. His favourite quote is, “We need to make Christianity less about Christians and more about Christ.” He is known for his enthusiasm, his sense of humour and his continual breaking into random lines of songs.

Pastor Brian is married to Diane and they have two adult children. Their daughter, Kayla, is currently in her fourth year, teaching in Cameroon, West Africa. Their son, Jared, and his wife, Daytona, are in Thunder Bay as Daytona finishes her education degree and Jared prepares to enter seminary.
